Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement concerning the provision of an Airport Transfer, Local or Long Distance Service (”Service“) between you and Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line . Completion of the booking form and use of the service indicates your unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement.
Any changes sought by the customer to the terms or conditions shall have no effect unless agreed in writing by the Company.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line is a Taxi and private hire management company and works with its clients to provide the end user a safe and reliable transport method. If you require a receipt for your journey, which has been paid by cash, you can obtain one from the driver, although the driver is self employed and therefore any receipt as provided will not be inclusive of VAT or have the same added.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line will email you a quotation for your airport transfer, long distance or local journeys based on the information provided by you. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line reserve the right to amend the quotation if there is any material change to the original itinerary, the number of passengers, or the type of vehicle required.
You must allow sufficient time when booking your Taxi to allow for the check-in times required by your airline and for any delays caused by traffic conditions. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.
You must order a suitable car size for the number of passengers and luggage. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.
If you need to transport a wheelchair please specify this at the time of booking.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line will always check for flight delays before the driver leaves for the airport but can only rely on the information supplied by the Airport Websites.
Once you have accepted your quotation, please check your booking confirmation carefully and inform Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line promptly for any errors. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line shall not be responsible for any delays caused or costs arising from your failure to provide Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line with correct information.
All car parking charges shall be paid on the day of collection from the airport by the customer unless otherwise stated / agreed in advance.
Payments can be made by credit, debit cards, and cash. Cheques are accepted as an alternative with a valid Guarantee card. Surcharges will apply.
A full receipt can be emailed direct to you or hand written business card receipts supplied by your driver. Please note that an emailed receipt can take up to 48 hours.
In respect of account work, Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line works with their clients to ensure that the services are delivered as per the requirements of the customer. Account work carried out will have VAT added at the applicable rate.
The customer agrees to pay the company for all journeys provided by the company on account. We shall invoice after the journeys has taken place. Invoiced amounts shall be due and payable after 30 days from date of invoice.
Prices for services are quoted exclusive of VAT which shall be charged at the rate prevailing, at the relevant tax point.
The Service 'Vehicle Conduct'
You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all passengers in the car during the whole journey. A charge of £100.00 will be levied to cover the cleaning costs in the event that the vehicle is soiled by any passenger.
Eating and drinking in the Taxi Line is not permitted. Exceptional circumstances for babies and medical reasons will be permitted with prior permission. All children should be restrained in a manner that befits the laws and regulations at the time. Suitable child seats should wherever possible be supplied and fitted by the child's parent / guardian. These can be held by the driver in the event of a return journey booking. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line will not carry more passengers than its insurance or licensing allows.
Smoking is never permitted in any of our vehicles.
Cancellations and Bookings
If you need to cancel your booking please contact Tunbridge Wells Taxi line as soon as possible. All cancellations made before the booking time will not incur a penalty charge. Refunds will be given at the discretion of Management. In exceptional circumstances, a penalty of up to 50% of the fare can be levied for late cancellations.
As a general rule journeys from airports are dispatched up to one hour before flight arrival, journeys within areas we provide a service to are normally dispatched up to twenty minutes before their due time.
Invoices will be sent for cancellations of a booking that have not been pre-paid, These invoices must be paid within 30 days and any unpaid invoices will incur a minimum 10% charge of the original invoice amount. The time stipulated for payment shall be of the essence of the Agreement. Failure to pay within the period specified shall entitle us to write to you and upon the expiration of seven days notice, to charge you for costs and expenses incurred in recovering late payments, and to charge interest at the rate then in force pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as at the due date or on the above rate whichever is the greater.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line recommends phoning us on our contact number to cancel with the telephone staff.
Refunds to credit / debit cards can only be refunded to the original card used within 7 Days of the original booking date. Refunds made by cheque can only be made out to the customers' name that made the original booking. This will be posted to the customer with in 5 days of the original booking date.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line be liable for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatever. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line aims at running a reliable service for you, however sometimes Taxi Line cannot arrive at time of booking due to reasons beyond our control. If the car is running late please contact the control immediately for an update.
All luggage is carried entirely at your own risk. Lost property is kept by the office for a period of 4 weeks before being disposed off.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line is entitled to cancel all services and provide up to 100% of the refunds (with in 7 Days of the original booking date), in the event of circumstances beyond their control. If a car breaks down during the journey, Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line will provide an alternative with a practical time allowance.
You shall indemnify Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line against all losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any act or omission of any passenger in your party.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line limited acts as an agent for clients of self employed drivers, and will pass information relating to the customer in order to assist with the safe and timely pick up. Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line cannot be held responsible for the misuse of this information by its clients or subsequent drivers that are beyond its control.
Neither party excludes or limits its liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for wilful default or fraudulent misrepresentation, or otherwise in any manner unenforceable by any applicable law.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or your passengers, requesting that all passengers vacate the vehicle as soon as it's safe to do so.
No refunds will be given for journeys terminated part way through the hire, full fare will be due to the driver and/or invoice issued if the journey is not pre-paid.
Company rights and powers
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line may change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line reserves the right to change the rules or instructions concerning the use of any part of the service from time to time.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line reserves the right to change the service, suspend it temporarily, in the interest of quality of service, communication failure or part interest of other customers.
For any issues arising; please contact the control team who will attempt to resolve the issue immediately. In the unlikely instance a satisfactory resolution is not met, you can leave your name and number with the controller and a member of the management team will contact you within 24 hours.
In the unlikely event of an event of a dispute arising, notice must be given within 21 days of the invoice date. In the event of no such notification being received by the company the customer shall accept the amount as being properly due and shall not be entitled to dispute this sum.
Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. The terms of this agreement shall prevail if a discrepancy arises between a quotation and this agreement.
This agreement contains the entire agreement between the parties relating to the subject matter and supersedes any previous agreements, arrangements, undertakings or proposals oral or written.
The companies’ website may contain hyperlinks to third parties; The company does not control, is responsible for and does not endorse any of the contents of such websites.
Reproduction, distribution, or republication of any information, materials, documents and services by any means, without the prior express written consent of Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line , is strictly prohibited. Nothing in this Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line website shall be construed as conferring any license of Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line 's intellectual property rights without express written consent from Tunbridge Wells Taxi Line . All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
Warranties and Disclaimers
